What is the purpose of newuser.unlv.edu? This web page is designed for UNLV faculty and staff to request new accounts.
Faculty, Staff, Graduate Assistants, and students
working for UNLV are all eligible for the accounts.
What accounts can I request using the
online form? Use this
website to activate up to four different accounts using the online
form:
- Lotus Notes E-mail Account
- Novell Netware Login
- Local Workstation Login
- S.E.N.D.
(Student E-mail Newsletters from Departments)

What mainframe accounts can I request?
You can request four
different mainframe accounts by printing the applications available
on this website:
- FIMS
- Advantage
- Student Information System (SIS)
- Human Resource Management System (HRMS)
You must fill out the administrative account form plus the supplementary form
for the account(s) that you are requesting.
Please note - completion of these forms does not guarantee access
approval. Learn
more about each of these programs.
How long does it take to activate accounts after I request
them?
Once the request has been submitted,
a technician will be in contact with
you to perform
the software installation or provide the account
information. This can take up to four business days to complete.
